Rava  laddu are sweet balls, Also known as suji laddu or Ravai unde,

A popular Indian sweet that is often prepared during festivals.

The sweet is especially popular in the state of Karnataka, India.

Rava laddu is a South Indian Sweet made with semolina, sugar, ghee, and cashews.

Ravai is the south  Indian term for semolina & laddu are sweet balls.

These Rava ladoo are delicious, aromatic and have a melt in the mouth texture with a slight crunch from roasted cashew nuts.

There are a few different ways Rava laddu is made.

Dry roast and blend it in a mixer along with some Cardamom.

mix in some confectionary sugar, add some fried cashews and ghee.

adding raisins, saffron and other nuts are optional.

The quantity we have used in this recipe yields about 35 small sized Rava ladoo.

we make this delicious quick and easy Rava ladoo every year for Diwali.

Some make without making them into a fine powder, and by adding grated coconut, that gives a different taste.

This Laddu is my son’s most favorite sweet recipe.
