Spicy and tangy south Indian gravy made with fresh homegrown sweet pearl onion. Vathal kuzhambu or vetha kuzhambu in Tamil is a tamarind-based spicy, tangy curry/gravy to be served with rice. Vathal kuzhambu made in manpaanai or earthen pot tastes delicious. This is a classic comfort recipe and pairs very well with Potato curry and dry roast appalam . Onion Sambar or Shallot is a type of onion. It is a small, elongated onion, but has a milder flavor with a hint of garlic. It is rich in antioxidants. We planted the onion seeds about 90 days before and it's ready for harvest. Gently pull from soil and shake off any excess soil. Onions are full of sugary juices when harvested.   • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 2 Dry Red Chili
  • 2 Green Chili
  • 1 oz Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Toor Dal
  • 1 cup Pearl Onion
  • Salt (For Taste)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Sambar Powder
  • 2 tsp Tamarind extract
  • 1/2 tsp Jaggery
