Crispy Poha Chivda | Roasted Poha Chivda

Flattened rice is rice which is flattened into flat, light, dry flakes originating from the Indian subcontinent. Rice is parboiled before flattening so that it can be consumed with very little to no cooking. These flakes of rice swell when added to liquid, whether hot or cold, as they absorb water, milk or any other liquids. The thickness of the flakes varies between almost translucently thin (the more expensive varieties) to nearly four times thinner than a normal rice grain. It is also called "beaten rice", not to be confused with poha, a Central-West Indian dish prepared using this flattened rice as the key ingredient. Poha Chivda is an quick and easy recipe made with flatten rice / beaten rice, peanuts, cashew nuts, spice mix and sev . There are many varieties of Poha available in the market from thin kind to thick variety .   • 2 cup Poha
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 2 Green Chili
  • Curry Leave
  • 1 tsp Finely Chopped Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Dal Moth / Sev
  • 1 Sliced Red Onion
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Cashews
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts
  • salt (For Taste)
  • Few Cilantro
